Wear and tear of the T-shaped chastity belt

Hello,
As a man, I wear a T-type Chinese chastity belt. I only this can wear for long-term wear.
It has already happened several times that the metal straps have broken where they are used. For example, the two ends of the crotch strap and the area around the lock.
My question is, does this phenomenon also occur with more expensive devices?
Do expensive devices need to be repaired or replaced because they wear out?

Elzart SIlicone liners wear out of course, and so does the coating on the AccessDenied belts. Locks can corrode and need to be replaced. But I've only recently held an almost 20 year old my-steel that was scratched but fully intact, and seen an even older tollyboy that was still in use. The steel they use is around double thickness compared to the standard chinese models, and of course the bolts are of higher quality.

Elzart If I understand correctly the metal cable has broken. I’d see this being a problem in any cable belt eventually as those cables will be flexed constantly causing some fatigue. In industrial applications steel cables have a service life for that reason I believe

Sasha I wear this type and the waistband has already broken once, not just the cable at the bottom.

Elzart Did the metal just snap or something?

Philip The 1 millimeter metal plate cracked from the movement, and the wire broke at the base over time.

Elzart Well that sounds pretty terminal.

I have had a few belts from non Chinese manufactures over the years and they never had that problem. Might be worth looking at them.

What thick plate are the more expensive chastity belts made of?

Elzart In the past i have had 2 from William Jones and one Tollyboy. Unfortunately both are no longer making belts. If Tollyboy went back in to production i would not hesitate in ordering one.
