Sin I mean, there have been periods where our country's green party has rightfully earned criticism on that end, like when a significant portion of the party was inserting something about decriminalizing non-violent child-adult sex into the official party platform, and the first response of the party leadership when confronted about it was to emphasize the "non-violent" part. Germany already has a pretty low age of consent, going down to 14 under certain conditions, which makes it clear what sort of children the plan was about.
That said, I think those claims about using convicted sex offenders for foster care are about as exaggerated and taken out of context as the notion promoted by the left that a prominent conservative politician from Bavaria is a nazi because he was a major edgelord back in high school and was involved in the circulation of some pamphlets slandering holocaust victims. While I disagree with many of his political positions (and the details of that would derail this topic even worse than it already is), it feels rather unfair to associate the politics of a man in his 50s with the ramblings of hogh school kids.
