Incels are not the only, were not the first, and are a minority of, the people who speak of the red pill as a metaphor for understanding human nature.
Also, many incels are not red pilled. They believe that the hope inherent in red pill thinking is false. They are sometimes referred to as being black pilled.
Personally, I think it's adorable that so many people think they've discovered something new when they've really just learned what all of their ancestors from before the sixties just considered common sense. It only seems new because they grew up in clown world.
