As long a both partners are happy,it is a good start.If their parents care about their son/daughter,they'll finally accept it,if they notice it makes them happy,I think.Even if it can take some time.

It's the case for Emilie's parents too.They tolerate our relationship more than most of the others members of her family,but I think they tend to accept it more,but it would take time.I notice they still never use the word "love" when talking about our relationship...🙁

I hope it won't take too long until your grandmother accept it completely!

we constantly use the word love, because it gives our relationship a seriousness, so others see faster that it is really serious for us in our relationship 😉

Same for us,and it is the reason Emilie's parents don't use it,to show us they don't trust it is a serious relationship,and they think it won't last long(even if we started to date 2 years ago).And only because it's a lesbian relationship,I'm sure they would act very differently if she dates a man.

I hope they will accept it more,and trust our relationship is a very serious one...

i personally see no difference, my relationship with camryn is just as serious as if i had a relationship with a man. i am bisexual (and you do too or ? ) so i see no difference 😉

I feel the same(and yes,I'm bisexual too).But Emilie's family have troubles with the fact she's lesbian.

I'm lucky my family have no problem with my sexual orientation.
