Reasons for chastity

While skimming the forum I got curious, many seem to have different values that cause them to chose chastity.
Keeping someone a virgin, preventing masturbation, these are somewhat obvious, but I am curious about your reasons for wanting that.
Religion may play a role, tradition, family values, pride, or simply the plan to be deflowered by a husband. I haven't quite seen a topic about yet so I am curious to hear about your backgrounds

with me there are also family reasons, my father wants me to lose my virginity to the right person and that means for him only when I am married 🙁

I haven't choose it,and don't like it at all,it's my parents' decision.At first,as punishment for breaking some rules(especially ones related to sexuality/seduction),and presently,permanently to prevent masturbation and sex until my marriage...

You are forced.

Peer presure.

You like the feeling of it.

Family / religious / cultural traditions.

etc. etc.

But as a compromise I will suggest the notion of "emotional blackmail" 😁
