Angelina my father wanted to buy something for 100€ with a 500€ bill. the seller refused. we sued him in court and won 🙂
That's crazy, because we have trade freedom in Germany nobody can be forced to sell you something. The seller can decide to whom he wants to sell his goods that includes to refuse a 500€ bill. I have just seen a YouTube video about this topic. It is just different when you have already consumed the good like at a gas station where you refill your car before you pay. Technical he can refuse the 500€ note for payment but has to accept that you pay your depts with it.

There are differences in any country. Finland doesn't use 1 and 2 ct coins for example.
I think the worst part of only paying cashless is that you always need a third party for paying and they always charge for it. Normally the seller has to pay for the transaction. Paying something should not cost money.
