I have been doing some research on this topic for awhile now and I don't seem to find a general consensus to the questions I still have.
-Is it legal for a parent to require a minor to wear a chastity belt? A lot of what I read condemns the entire concept out of personal belief but doesn't give an answer as to legality. ( I live in Oregon, if it might vary from state to state.) Would this not be borderline sexual abuse, especially if either parent wants to check the lock before I can leave?
-Do guys actually wear these comfortably and they actually work as intended?
-Can I have any objections based on health concerns, either physical or mental?
-How the hell did they even come up with the idea
If I'm being honest I can admit that I've made some serious mistakes in the past and recently, but for parents to resort to locking a device on me seems way overkill to me. I guess im here looking for some understanding and excuses out of this situation based on legal grounds, health risks, the idea being unrealistic or unobtainable in the first place. Anyways in the past this has been a threat as a result of me messing up in some serious way. It started last year when my ex and I had a pregnancy scare, but was just a late period. She got scared a day too early, told her parents, who told mine, etc. They aren't religious or anything but had a huge fit over me ruining my future, not understanding the costs of my mistakes, un responsibility, you get the idea. A chastity device was the resulting threat. But with things as they are now they have brought it up again and this time it might not be a threat.
Anyways, I guess I'm kind of rambling. Advice, thoughts, questions, ideas on the matter would be appreciated.
