HHelen And you don't trust your daughter and you want to give her a gift of distrust. You will be amazed. Have you ever tried talking? Incidentally, you can no longer give her freedom, you can only take it. She's grown up and doesn't have to do anything you ask for. What do you want to do if she rightly refuses? Imagine she just moves because of this to one of the guys you want to protect her from. You can't hold her. With the belt, every little argument can escalate if the mood is bad.

This is maybe right for "mainstream parents", but these parents would never ask their daughters. It's only a special kind of parents who ask, and these parents don't accept a simple "No".

HHelen Chastity is as relevant at your age as it is at hers. The virtue instilled by refraining from self-touching doesn't change with time. If you honestly believe keeping her belted will improve her well-being, you should be willing to set an example. You mentioned above that you feel a belt doesn't look as silly at 18 as it would at your age, but I suspect she would disagree.

I read ofte here:'I wear it to not damage the relationship to my parents.But they love me very much...' If that causes these parents to end a relationship, they have never been parents. They want to live out their dominant streak, are obsessed with power and narcissistic. Everything that can be summarized under a relationship that is toxic to yourself. By the way, it's not just about the belt. Such people usually only accept their own opinion, also in other things. It is only right if they think it is right. Think about it. What personal freedoms (which everyone else has) have you given up too? Money? Decissions about your life? You can argue with them, but they decide. Do you find yourself there? Do you know the Stockholm syndrome? (If not, ask Google) You can only stop such people with a clear No at the beginning, as they often hide their own insecurity behind their behavior. Believe me, I've met guys like this many times in my job and dealt with everyone. That's exactly what I tell my children: If you don't want something, stick to your No. (I don't mean homework and learning for school ;-)).
