I guess she means that her mother executes the rules of her husband and locks / unlocks the rest of the family and is herself locked/unlocked by her husband. So Ines rarely sees her in thighbands because her mother is the first one unlocked in the morning and last one locked in the evening and then deals with everyone elses locks.

I have only used the option once, and we went like 5 days before we aborted the countdown. AJ was relieved of course. I was not OK at the beginning, AJ wanted a month, but we eventually agreed on 2 weeks, which seems OK.
