Sin I don't get how anyone can watch that Sheldon crap. I just don't find those shows funny or entertaining at all. American sitcoms in general are just devoid of any humour, it's brain-dead trash. I find it hard to have them on in the background, it's just painful to watch.
what a hater! ๐
maybe is your specific (british) humor sense
Sheldon is an insufferable character, but you need to pivot on him to make things happen that normally would not happen and to be able to do entertaining things..
I prefer the Sheldon character of "the young sheldon" series
But I agree that are many sitcoms which their success is not justified, and that doesn't means the format is bad.
For example "how I met your mother" I thinks is quite bad, despite tome ago if I turne on the TV and was there, I watched a bit, to understand maybe.. and maybe it just enternains a bit despite I think is bad
Like a bad evolution of Friends or other shows with non-sense
Recently I discovered there is an old sitcom, but still viewable in Amazon Prime Video for free which is useful to make exercise in the threadmil and not get bored..
really funny, at least for me, not the common format, because is more close to a comedy monologue, where comes the main character "Seinfeld"
you can see both are sitcoms, but nothing similar
well, maybe I have lot of tolerance as I'm a movies (now also series) guy, with limits, I already talked about bad for me how I met your mother,
but I wath many kind of series to fill these gaps like while I'm in my own gym, a wide spectrum which I would recommend any one..
for example I saw apart of Big Bang ๐ , Young Sheldon, in that way also Modern Family, more geek.. Silicon Valley, more fantasy.. Lucifer,
turning more serious..
House of Cards (american one, I know about the british),
Homeland,
The Blacklist,
Suits (before Meghan became a known girlfriend),
The Good Fight (And Good Wife but was more for women specialized channels ๐คฃ),
Peaky Blinders
well, good enough to start, there are many others, often I have to take time to find series I didn't watch yet before starting watching something
