Are tights/pantyhose ever worn under thighbands (but over the belt/shield)? It sounds like chaffing can be an issue and an extra layer of protection might help. I guess the downside is it would complicate using the restroom if one can't lower their hosiery past mid-thigh.

No, since the lateral chains are inside the legs holes of the panties you can down it enough.
Pantyhose are destroyed by metal, so, I never use it with belt, socks are best choice.

i have always used normal stockings but i think pantyhose would be possible from a toilet point of view, even if it is a challenge. i think like Ines that the thighbands could destroy the pantyhose.

Ines Thanks for the reply. It was the issues you described that made me think this might help so I appreciate your feedback on why it would not work.
It makes sense that you can not pull them down past the lateral chain (and even without a chain, the bands alone would probably prevent this). I just wasn't sure if that might be "down enough".

Angelina Thanks for the response. My thought was that something that went to the waist would stay up better if the goal is to make sure there is a protective layer between the bands and ones skin. Definitely understand the concern regarding sheer hosiery being fragile. Was thinking opaque tights or sheer hose with a thicker "control top" might be able to withstand some metal contact without being destroyed.

I use tampons and/or pads that I put in my belt.

I use thin pads under my belt. It's possible to change them even with tightbands if you are skilled.

I use tampons only when I am at home, then my father unlocks me.

Pads can be changed as @Sara2001 wrote, I'll give you a tip when you eat at the chinese restaurant, take chopsticks home with you. 😂

i don't like that, i would never recommend wearing thighbands when the key holder is not nearby because accidents can happen. i hope you have an emergency key you can use in case of emergency.

We had strong rain with with flooding in a very short time. Some could only save themselves by getting out of the second floor into the water and swimming to higher areas.
How do you want to do that with the thigh-bands?
