this is not supposed to be. thighbands make certain movements difficult, but if movements are almost impossible, then this is a type of band that is too restrictive.

This is because you used them so many time.
When I was starting, I had to use them more time than now, and I was a bit overwhelmed, but currently I do not care about them.

That might be the case in your family / environment, but trying to catch a bus when you are late and therefore having to run is not all that unusual. Or you want to make the green light at an intersection so you want to hurry. There are a lot of reasons in a normal day where I can understand why thighbands feel annoyingly restrictive for all sorts of activities that are completely unrelated to chastity.
A chastity bra on the other hand is not really restricting any movement, so the main problem is hiding it with appropriate clothes. For that reason logic dictates that @Angelina has a very valid point.

so until the last sentence i would have totally agreed with you, but this sentence shows a certain double standard. i would argue that this statement would apply to the bra just as much as to the thighbands. but i agree that i spent a lot of time in the bands (sometimes 24/7) and for me the restrictions in everyday life were probably felt much more than for you.

The bra limits the choice of clothing a lot, but I must also say that many items of clothing that does not cover up the bra should not be worn by a good girl in public.
with bands it's something completely different, bands always restrict, no matter what you wear and no matter if you are sexually aroused or not

Even in Europe cars are more and more only available with automatic gearbox. Reason are the increasingly restrictive emission standards. While years ago fuel economy was typically better for manual that has reversed. Modern 8 or even 9 or 10 gear automatic transmissions are more fuel efficient than a manual transmission which is limited to 6 gears.
Currently most cars from lower middle class upward have no manual transmission option anymore (and personally I think that's very unfortunate, I still like my stick shift).
