If you just want to hear about others' experiences, several people have chronicled them on this very thread for the last 4 years. It's a lot of reading but also exactly what it sounds like you are looking for. I have only read a fraction of it myself but it has been very informative.
If you have questions for the users, I suggest trying to be more specific with the info you are looking for, be that specific questions or a broad overview of a topic.
