Dad came up with the same idea when he suggested using tape (as it turns out, he didn't want to mess around with making metal bands and attaching them to the waistband, so he pitched the idea to mum). The concept was reasonably good because I couldn't spread my legs. The problem was mainly the execution. The bands hung too close to my knees and had too short a joint.

Angelina if the bands were made of fabric or a similar unstable material, it shouldn't be difficult to get around them or take them off completely.

It was an issue that the parents had not thought through. Peeing in the bands was troublesome, urine dripped down my thighs and I almost wet the bands.

We talked about it, your bands did not have a great design.
Certainly it is not a comfortable accessory, but inside the home and at nights, they do not avoid any activity.

If the bands placed above your knees you can get out of them without destroying. Lie on your back and bend your knees towards your chest. Then the connection from the belt to the bands should give you the room to slide the bands over your knees and out of them.

of course, homemade ones can go one of two ways. either they are poorly made so that they are easy to cheat, or (as in your case) they are extremely restrictive.

I tried to do something similar the night I wore it and in no way could, even after sliding the suspenders forward on waistband. Maybe a slim and limber girl would be able to do something like that, but I couldn't manage it. I'm a rather corpulent girl. 😉

I am not big at all and such trick does not work for me. It is valid only if the bands are very low.
I am not even close to achieve it.
Medium-high position is not only much more comfortable, but safer too.

i believe you, to me the blockpiece always sounds unnecessarily restrictive, because thighbands always work, even with a chain. in an emergency you can also just use only a padlock if you really want to be on the safe side, but the blockpiece is unnecessary restriction for me.

All other arguments are just pretexts or counter-arguments, such as security. In case of danger, they make the situation worse because they restrict the freedom of movement too much.

Joh Yes, it is a bondage device. Like handcuffs or leg shackles. If someone thinks a girl keeping her legs together is more important than her being able to walk, that screams wrong priorities to me.

Though to be fair, something similar could be said about restrictive thigh bands in general, but at least on those, a compromise between mobility and "behavioral enforcement" can be found/negotiated. A block piece is too far on the restrictive side of that balance to constitute an acceptable compromise for practical use.

Agree, however even if I do not have to use it, it was purchased as part of my FS belt and never was more intended use than at nights. To use it at nights is terrible, to have to use it during the rest of time is a nonsense.

in which form better? i wore thighbands without blockpiece for years and they were 100% safe, more is not possible

I think it is depended on the person what they see it as restrictive. We got already the feedback the thigh bands help to calm down faster if they use them.

I completely agree with this. The more I wear them with what would be considered a long chain, they are restrictive for sure but livable.
