Pants, skirts and overalls

gwen I only wear trousers when there would safety hazard -- for example when using a power tool. After many years of this, I find everything easier and more comfortable while wearing a dress.

Interesting. But wouldn't it be more fair to compare a dress with a jumpsuit than with pants? (Or in case of a jumper (UK: pinafore), with overalls)

Given that you had gotten a lot of experience wearing skirts, and Camryn saw you in them a lot too, do you still often wear them (apart from the bra-less days) or do you choose pants whenever you can?

i kept some trousers that still fit but i bought some new ones. i generally prefer to wear skirts and dresses but i am happy to have the freedom of choice and in winter trousers are more comfortable.

as i said i generally wear skirts and dresses a lot, the only thing that has changed is that i now wear pants 1-2 times a week.

my preference for dresses and skirts has nothing to do with the thighbands, i also used to prefer wearing dresses and skirts as a child. the only thing that has changed is that i now have the freedom of choice again. 😉

sometimes i wear trousers, depending on what is practical. my father doesn't really care, but the thighbands don't allow trousers.

I wonder if wearing a onesie at night could help a bit with fighting the belt (or cage), because you can't touch it as easily. I find them really comfortable, and they keep me warm when getting out of bed, but for women it of course the bathroom will be more troublesome, which is already more of a challenge with the belt. A dropseat might help?

i understand your idea, but of course it would have to be a onesie that you can take off. for me personally it's nothing, because i generally don't wear clothes to bed and i also have trouble sleeping with clothes on.

Yes, I was thinking about a normal onesie that is not hard to take off. So it would only be a very gentle deterrent; a bit like being your own keyholder: just an extra step to take (opening the zipper at least, but perhaps needing to take it off fully to be able to fight 'effectively') that might be enough to stop you from trying.

But I wonder if people who wear thighbands at night, don't mind being clothed at night, and do not have to go to the bathroom during the night, would prefer to wear a onesie that they could not take off themselves, if that would mean that they wouldn't have to wear the thighbands then.

for one thing, i have to go to the toilet more often at night and for another, i don't think my father would accept this as a substitute.
