True enough, but if you are prevailed upon by others to be tested, maybe family, it's important that people know the test is not reliable.

absolutely correct, but its the same with all shoulds and shouldnts: it isn't true for everyone as there are families which really do value that.

Which is actually something than can historically be traced back to at least into the middle ages.
Back then a wedding ceremony was only considered completed when the couple had spend the wedding night together and the stained (blood) linen was presented publicly the next morning.
This had all sorts of legal implications as well, so it was actually very important.

True. But there is a difference to what is written in the law / constitution and how things are then handled in real life.
That is not only true for the US but also in Germany (look at special rights the large churches have in Germany in regards to employment rules etc. They get away with things that actually violate other laws, because they get special treatment (even though by law and constitution, Germany is a secular country).

That is absolutely correct. Even if it is hard, you can get along without your own family and still get along well in life.
Of course it is better if this is not the case, but in the end you have to look out for yourself and determine which people have a positive influence and which have a negative influence on your life. And if after careful consideration you find that your own or your partner's family have overall a negative influence, it is better to cut the ties rather than be under that influence.

Deoends on how well your partner gets on with their family. If they are close, but you are not, that might be an unfortunate combination that can easily put strain on your relationship.
