You are right, of course. I'm probably a lot 'softer' on this than many people in this forum, from what I have read. I see it mainly as a fetish: something that two consenting adults do together. Personally I disagree with chastity that gets initiated by parents (unless the child/teen asks for it or agrees, but even then you have to be really careful). My worry here is that the child never learns to have a healthy relationship with their sexuality.
Power play is of course usually a part of this, but because it's consensual I indeed see it more as a game, if it gets enforced against the partners will that's pretty much abuse.
For some context: I am not a religious person, while skimming the forum I got the feeling religion is a big reason for some, not for me. I see nothing inherently bad about sexuality,
