Joh Most of the time transport cost IS Not high. Otherwise Nobody would move Produktion to another country

at present, it is usually the labour costs that make relocation abroad attractive, nevertheless, transport costs can be higher, but that's just my opinion, i don't have any concrete figures

From what I've heard they did move there because they couldn't find an appropriate and affordable place in an old folks home in Germany, for relatives, so they moved there.

One doesn't exclude the other. As there could be additional influences involved. All contributing to the overall situation that is so complex that even many persons digging into related topics for many years apparently have different interpretations.

Anyway -- and despite me liking to debate about society, commerce, etc. -- we might better split the overall situation of the economy and our perspectives why this or that happened into a separate, political topic and/or stronger focus on my-steel changes here, again.
