I ask this because you are new to the belt, the methods you describe I would only recommend to someone who has several years of experience. in my opinion you should either keep the keys or give them to someone who knows all your individual needs

Angelina An in-person keyholder is always the best for getting the maximum chastity out of a belt while responding to the wearer's physical and mental needs. However, if escape prevention is not as important as escape discouragement, a remote keyholder and/or a technical solution can still be better than nothing. I definitely recommend working more with seals than with secure locks though and treating the remote keyholder more as an accountability partner than a person who holds real power.

Me and my girlfriend use a time safe. It's made of plastic, so it's breakable if necessary. We also carry spare keys which are in a tamper-evident box, for emergency use. It works fine for our purposes, we usually know how long we want to be locked for. Perhaps being able to add in an element of surprise might be fun sometime, though.

First and foremost, this is real life not a fantasy novel. Therefore never give up all keys. They can be made difficult to get to; however, there must be a way to get them. Emergencies can and do happen and so does metal fatigue and having sharp metal digging into your skin -- leads back to emergency removal 🙂

There are two kinds of keys in my opinion: 1. A key someone holds, who can execsise judgement if you get it.

A key you will access in an emergency.

For #1 Find someone you trust. (or a timed safe) They can be local or remote, then get some kind of keysafe. This is for the key you would normally use (for cleaning breaks or whatever.) There was a long post about the one I use somewhere on here. I can dig it up if you are interested. The trick is finding a knowing friend.

This is for EMERGENCIES. It should be difficult to thinkabout using; however, fairly easy to get. Think if the friend is an actual keyholder - a use you can justify. I have several in multiple locations. I have been wearing almost full time for over 6 years. I can say, there have been multiple emergencies, from medical to metal fatigue...

RIght, so the big question is how you keep keys easily accessible, but also make it sufficiently bad to use the keys that they're only used in real emergencies, rather than when you're having a slightly bad day or feeling mildly inconvenienced.

@Sara2001 once described a good system with sealed envelopes, you can access the keys at any time, but it is impossible for it not to be noticed

I use a pexiglass container that can be smashed easily. Costs like 3 bucks. I've had to smash it once due to sores but glued it back together. Obviously cracked now but it does the job since i can't wear that belt 24/7 as it doesn't fit well. Hopefully my neosteel solves that issue, the illfit cocoon just needs to be sent back to be refitted with a new rear and waist band piece but jura (the manufacture) has a tendency to go awol for years with no response.

I'd say this depends on what and how much control you want/need.

And on what basis: time notice, fixed period, conditions?

You decide that first.
