Renita It's my responsibility.

i see it a little differently, she has taken on the role of key holder, so she also has the responsibility for proper hygiene

I pulled the data into a spreadsheet. I will do some analysis and post some charts in a bit if I can.

@Laura what would the best way to upload the charts be?

pestulens Can you remind me of the admin email?

The chart is enough to illustrate a few trends.

First off, male wearers seem to trend towards longer periods between unlocks than female wearers. Anecdotal accounts that I have heard before suggest this is likely because male wearers have an easier time with hygiene while locked and thus don't need to be unlocked for cleaning as often. If I were doing a complete survey, I would like to see this data broken down by type (ie cage, cable belt, or ridged belt) and see if that plays a role.

Second, there is a noticeable dip in the results for the "multiple times a week" category compared to the 2 on either side despite the middle category actually representing a much wider range of possible responses than its nabors. This was more pronounced for female wearers but still dips below the trend line when considering only male respondents. My hypothesis would be that this is showing a trend towards routine, with tasks like cleaning and skin care being done on set schedules rather than on an ad-hawk, or as-needed basis. If this is correct, I would predict that respondents in the 1 a day or 1 a week categories would probably have unlocks on a schedule (ie specific time a day and/or day of the week) while respondents in the multiple times a week category are likely being unlocked ether on an as-needed basis or are scheduling them around some chaotic element. For example, if the wearer and keyholder both have unpredictable work schedules they might need to fit unlocks in whenever they are both available.

Obviously, this little poll isn't a rigorous scientific study, so I don't think we can set any standards off of it, but it is interesting nonetheless. I will be curious to hear if anyone else has thoughts on the results or has commentary.

Thanks, very interesting. The living routine is based on day - night cycle, so of course it’s daily. In my personal experience no woman will ever accept a routine that have cleaning happening less than 1/day. I’m honestly surprised that someone can do it less than once per day. In my life routine wife must be unlocked more, but I can understand that a single young girl without a house or children or work to attend can be unlocked less often. But less than once per day seems to me unhealthy at best
For men it’s completely different. Cleaning can be performed while caged, so daily unlocking is less necessary

Exactly, it is not necessary for males to be released daily for hygiene.

My old and new cages (both are the same type, but the old one is a fake that was replaced with an original) allow hygiene when they are on and there is no need to release more often.

I have permission to release for hygiene at the latest every other day and I have not noticed that hygiene in the cage is less thorough than without the cage, so I can safely keep it permanently closed for a longer period of time.

I think it is better for me, because my frustration is constantly increasing, and during the release for hygiene I fight very hard with myself not to give myself relief despite the established time limit for cleaning. During the check-up conversation with KH, I admitted to this and today during the agreed meeting we will discuss extending the time of closure between releases for hygiene.

As a wearer of a full male belt (Neosteel Fun) I can confirm that hygiene requires more effort than with a cage style device. However it is possible to achieve a good result as long as I take my time in the shower. I have verified by going a couple days with the belt on, showering and then removing the belt to verify that the cleaning process I do seems to have worked well. I have gone over a week without removal but after 2-3 days its still better (and just nice to have a short break) to remove the belt for a shower.

The more you cover = the more hygiene you need. The more you cover part that need cleaning... guess what?

thanks for your work and the diagram, very interesting 🙂

i myself abstained because from my point of view the survey only concerns active wearers, but i also think it should be once a day. in exceptional cases it can be extended to 2-3 days, but that should not be the rule

Angelina I never intended to limit the poll to current active wearers, data from past experiences is just as valuable for our purposes. At this point, I don't intend to do a second round of analytics but I will leave the poll up for future users to add to if they like.

            This raises a question:
For female wearers who are unlocked less than once a day, would more frequent hygiene unlocks significantly improve your quality of life or do you find you are able to manage hygiene adequately with the belt on?

Every girl is unique. More than once per day can be useful to allow the psychological feeling of more "freshness" even while not strictly necessarily. Most girls I know are very keen about their hygiene. For sure my wife will suffer with only one break each day. Keep in mind that the feeling of discomfort or feeling dirty in a healthy relationship (aka not forced) will most likely end the belting. As it should be.

yes, definitely. of course, you don't feel particularly clean behind all those metal appliances, so more hygiene breaks have a positive effect on the girl's general well-being
