well with me it is not really necessary, my father pays me everything. it is never an official part, but if I would not wear the equipment, I would have much less money available (it is similar with you)

For me part of it was more freedom and being made sure that I'll be looked after, but also the fact i could share a ton of things with my mom and be close together.

But to answer the main question. I don't regret accepting my belt bands and bra and will happily wear them even if my parents didn't have me locked

For me no.
Just because forcing someone to a lifestyle isn't something good.
Everyone should be free and force someone to wear CB is deprivation of liberty and it is abuse..

I am okay with chastity belt/cage for BD/SM and will be perfectly okay if my gf want me to wear one because she wants me to know what she endured.

But not as punishment, it is a very awful mental and physical punishment.
