Angelina i have been dreaming of a transparent world for a very long time 🙂
I'm not sure what you mean by "transparent", but I understand your sentiment and I agree.
Angelina because i don't like it when strangers get the keys. there is no particular reason for this, it is just my opinion
i want to make it very clear once again that not everything i write, or even others, always has a deeper meaning.
Trying to understand what causes an emotion is important for good writing, so, I still wonder why you don't like it.
If you don't mind, I have another experiment. I'm sure there is more than one reason, but what are they and how important is each one?
Is it your father losing the ability to unlock your equipment? (That could be fixed by the school requiring him to keep copies of the keys)
Is it a stranger gaining the ability to unlock your equipment, even if they are a medical professional like a gynecologist? Would it help to use some kind of special lock where, unless you use your father's key, a key or combination from you is also needed? ...or to store the key in a portable key safe that needs a second key or combination? ...or would you still prefer it if the school nurse had to call your father to unlock a key safe remotely for each cleaning break?
Is it a stranger knowing what you are doing? Would it matter if your father unlocked your equipment in the presence of the school nurse?
When does a stranger stop being a stranger? Suppose it was your gynecologist, in a world where your equipment wasn't a secret. Would that change how you feel?
Is it the lack of choice? Would you feel better about it if the admissions process required you to spend time getting to know the school nurses, and then you chose which nurse would hold your keys?
Is there something I didn't think of?
Knowing how much each one of these reasons matters will help me to understand and to write characters who think in a similar way.
