hanna_anders you can get flats that are ok, but to me they’re just not pretty.

there are shoes that look like high heels but are flat, but i bought them in a shop. if i find the name again, i'll write to you. 😉

Sounds good. But I really don't know how to walk in heels. If I slipped and turned an ankle and couldn't run I'd really be on the s-list.

Avery I hate to say it but you right. But you should get some and practice on a good surface to get used to it. A party is not the place to start.

FYI for no good reason, I will tell you my old girlfriend (in the early 2000's) walked in heels extremely well and also frequently wore ballet heeled boots at parties. She was good (when sober).

I see some ballet flats with 1 1/2 to 2-inch heels that may work. Seems satin ballet flats are in fashion.

I can't drink, partly because I never do. If you're not used to it you can get impaired awfully fast.

Avery That sounds like a reasonable start. Easy to dance in and still very easy to walk in. But I will say that higher will make for a hotter look when you can do it. Look at the female news anchors on national TV networks.

Agreed. Except they show you on the net these 7-inchers which look ridiculous. 4-inch might do it. Sometime.

17 cm of heel is, in my opinion, ridiculous.
You have to use platform, and platforms are awful, 10-12 cm is enough for high sofistication look.

Ines I agree, although a small (2 CM) platform with 12 CM heels works pretty well for the shorter girl. Gets her more height.

I'm up early though, only 4:50AM, A product of early to bed. NE plays the Raiders a week from Sunday. A big deal as our offensive coordinator left to be their head coach. Many here rejoice at the Raiders' relatively poor season. We need both these next two out west games to hope to make the playoffs. Unless (maybe) Buffalo clinches first seed and doesn't need the last game of the season.

In the meantime I have the assumption that there are girls who are born to wear high heels and those who are not. Or can you imagine that an 8 year old girl stands for the first time in 10 cm high heels and walks perfectly in them?

Disagree. Simply is easier do not learn to walk over them. Every girl should learn to walk with them, in some moments are so mandatory as a smokin,(smokin means "tuxedo suit" in Spain),for the men.

so i think @Ines is right and wrong at the same time. it is of course a matter of learning, if i start learning it i will surely be able to do it eventually. but i don't agree with @Ines that it is compulsory in any form, the same goes for smokins, both can be done by adequate substitute products 😉
