Like you I enjoy the stats but we can also manipulate them to make them say what we want. So we'll be prudence with them.
But what fascinates me most about numbers and math is the strange results that can defy understanding.
Did you know that it had been shown that the sum of the set of whole numbers (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 ...) up to infinity was equal to -1 / 12 (-0,0833333...)
You will find a lot of video on the subject including this one

Although this result is shocking for any rational mind, it has been verified in physical experiments which have been able to demonstrate the reality of this surprising value.
In fact what seems to be a real anomaly for our human mind turns out to be undoubtedly a huge opportunity to think differently than we do now.
I am convinced that if even the most rational science (mathΓ©matics) leads to inconsistencies for our human mind, it is proof that our mind has a false idea of ββthe reality of the world around it.
I hop you enjoy it.
