I have trouble with English as well. Probably because I try to think in German, mix arab words in and that melts to a puddle of words which I try to sort out and translate to English and then it is grammar time to get the words in the right order. But I try hard!

    Ines

I've personally no problem to understand you.

    Angelina

English is the main language for it...

But it could have been very different if France haven't sold a part of the territory to the US(the Louisiana, which was way bigger than the actual state),centuries ago,the US may have spoken french, and it would have changed a lot of things about international discussion...

    Laura

I had troubles to try to learn spanish too.

    Amira

    You're still understandable,don't worry.

You can try to use translator to help you if needed.

Vanessa the US may have spoken french

And it does now. There are more French speakers in the US than people usually think.

        Laura

Oh?I thought it was pretty rare, except in some of the states...

Vanessa Depending on how you define "rare". Sure it's less popular than English and Spanish, however I could say you can hear it in any big city on the Eastern coast

            Laura

Interesting,I thought spanish was common too,but not french.

Vanessa There is only one official language in the US, so Spanish and French have the same status

                Laura

Yes,but I thought there is way more people in the US learning spanish than french(I thought it was very uncommon to learn french there).

Vanessa Usually they learn nothing ๐Ÿ˜ƒ It's truly depends on education level

In what language should the native English speakers talk here. ๐Ÿ™‚ This topic has a very confusing name.
