Laura Vanessa In Germany, wedding ring is on the rigth hand?In France,it is on the left hand(as the engagement ring). We also wear it on the left hand
Angelina Vanessa Why not do both? because it was a gift for my birthday, not a purity ring that requires a promise. Besides, it would be unnecessary ๐ Vanessa In Germany, wedding ring is on the rigth hand? as far as I know, yes, and if not, I would just be the first ๐
Vanessa Angelina as far as I know, yes, and if not, I would just be the first ๐ I wonder why. For the left hand,I've read/heard it was because we thought, when it started to be used, there is a vein directly connected to the heart in the finger(on the left hand)we put the wedding ring on.I don't know if it is the same reason(but for the right hand)in Germany.
Angelina Vanessa I never knew that before ๐ฎ I will read about it, if it is really true, I will change my opinion again ๐
Vanessa Angelina It seems it is the same in Russia, too(I noticed it in "Pรฉkin express",a french TV show, and the candidates were travelling through Russia).
Angelina Vanessa i also read something about it and you are right, i think i will reconsider my decision, but i still have some time ๐
Daniil Laura If I understand this conversation right - you talked about wedding rings. Wedding rings are worn on the ring finger because it has a vein leading to the heart. Thatโs what they say at least. In fact, there is no such vein there. In anatomical atlases I have never seen veins there. I often injured the ring finger on both hands. I have never seen venous blood from there. But as I think, everyone does it because of traditions.
Angelina Daniil so i understand correctly that there are no biological reasons for wearing the wedding ring on the left ring finger, but it is a tradition?
Angelina Daniil another 12 years if I am correctly informed ๐คฃ I'm still trying to figure out how to wear the ring, but I still have time ๐
Vanessa Angelina Right. audioguy58 One could easily imagine a situation where the son or daughter wears a locking bracelet, and the parent holds the key. Why?I don't know how it could be useful...
