Valadar if I may ask more specifically?
Development
Valadar What does your job entail?
Customers need particular services and pay for it
Valadar (As Im also in the I.T field) computer technician
That's probably more about @Vanessa
Valadar Do you dabble much with Linux system and even the desktop environment?
Servers are usually Linux, including this one. So you have no choice

Laura I use few desktops including Ubuntu
Ok that's good. I watch ChrisTitus on YouTube he makes excellent content and was my inspiration to start learning Linux. I use Zorin as my daily driver on my computers which is based off ubuntu. I also have heard good things about Arch. Im a casual gamer so Im learning to be able to run the games I want to play on Linux, with the windows based ones using Wine. There is a lot to learn on Linux so many ways to do things wouldn't you agree?

I've never a VPS with Arch on it. Basically Debian, Ubuntu and CentOS only

Just play on a real Windows

I prefer to learn things that help making money. If I was you I would rather learn docker and kubernetes instead wine and play-on-linux
Laura Just play on a real Windows
I despise Windows 10. I don't like all the forced updates and the system breaking bugs so no thanks although I still use Windows at work, I prefer to learn to use Wine as I can run my favourite applications without having to utilize Windows 10 as sadly a lot of Windows applications will not work natively on Linux

My learning about Linux is not just to play games lol I also want to understand its whole structure cso I can make it do what I want to. You certainly have a point and I will look into that thank you as Im currently studying to obtain my Comptia A+ and N+
Laura Windows 7 in a virtual machine and you can run your favorite apps being in Linux
Lol yes I know about VM's but unfortunately VM's do not have full access to the GPU - graphics card (unless you do a PCI-pass through which requires two graphics card)sso tho that might work for some applications, not all of them say more graphic intensive applications and games. Thanks for you suggestion though

Laura penguins on the CapeTown's streets.
Also we had here in Joburg a baboon on the run and a leopard...soon all you overseas people will be right with lions running down our streets (due to this regime's utter incompetence) but I refuse to live in a mud hut or more accurately a cow-dung hut lol

Of course you do. Just connect another one through a riser
Valadar so how is your area/life during this lockdown I take it you can still work?
I'm freelancer. I don't got to work anyway. So almost no change for me. But parents stay at home
Valadar You live in NYC right?
Yes. NYC
Laura Of course you do. Just connect another one through a riser
Lol I was actually surprised you responded to that. Unfortunately I can't due to my case/computer chassis limitations and as said I can do nothing during this lockdown lol someone I know can't even buy a battery for their phone it's ludicrous lol

Very fortunate, so the only "lockdown" (I mean no offense) you experience is what you are already used to, &is the main focal point of this forum lol.
I fortunately work from home myself due to my family's business which isn't in I.T but requires the service of an I.T administrator but unfortunately the lockdown has hit the business hard and currently Im not earning a salary until the business can function again, that's why I can say I know how hard this lockdown is affecting the Caucasian businesses in South Africa especially the small&medium sized ones.

You can place a second video card outside your case. That's the beauty of risers

I guess it must be called "lockup"
Valadar aid that NYC people don't have any trash bins on the roads due to the events of 9/11. Is this true?
Trash bins or trash cans? Of course, there are a lot of trash cans on the streets. If you are talking about trash bins, e.g. dumpsters, well, I never paid attention to it
Laura I guess it must be called "lockup"
I guess so but you and the other ladies are used to it I mean it is your daily life and reality not like if it was used as playthings in a sexual fantasy lol Im a bit of a shy/private person that's why I don't comment too much on chastity belt issues, as like Rick I do believe the main purpose of this forum should be about allowing you ladies to discuss your issues&challenges supporting one another (and if us guys can add to the support)
If money were as plentiful as grass I would say the majority African woman here in SA need to be belted to prevent this ridiculous overpopulation here. As its in the African culture to on average have 7 to 10 children or more(as the believe the more children they have the more they will be looked after when they are older) and many wives/girlfriends that's why Africa will never progress its impossible.
