I agree with @BikelockFugitive,it was not the initial purpose.I don't know much about the celtic purpose,but,in the modern tradition,it was supposed to be done to repel bad spirits trying to come into our world during this night.

Laura What's wrong to have fun from death? People have habit to die. It is law of nature. Why do we need to worry about that? Personally, I want music from JoJo bizarre adventure to play at my funeral. And I want people to have fun at my funeral, because there is less shit in the world after my death. I really like the attitude of Mexicans to death. They celebrate their day of the dead. And this holiday is fun. Better than worrying and feeling sad.

To be serious, Halloween is not popular in Russia. A lot of people think, that it is day of devils and the way the West affects souls in a bad way. People,who like Halloween prefer to drink at this day. Some of them do it in scary or funny costumes. But we have a long weekend from 1 of November to 4 of November. Thanks to another russian holiday.

We can get a low amount of money each month while not working;but,if we reject 3 jobs offer successively,we can lose it.It doesn't affect the ones we got via interim agencies,however.
