I don't think that can work. I remember how it was last time I agreed to try. Like a car sure is tempting but that trapped feeling having a promise hanging over you. Yikes there is anxiety building in me now just writing.

Yeah I know but only a few in my year group drives already. I'm one of the oldest so it doesn't feel like I'm missing out.

Follow your feeling is the best what you can do for yourself.
I got my driver license with 20 and I know many young people here in Germany they have no rush to get the license.
Driving can be fun and you have more opportunities but also more responsibility. Only you know how important each for you is.

Joh One important point is the weight-horsepower ratio. My car could speed up faster then your fathers car because my ratio could be better.

I paid for my driver's license myself and had worked for it during the vacations. It took a few years after I had it until I could afford my first car.
You are in a lucky situation that you get it from your father. Am am happy for you.

Congratulations. I remember how it felt soo many years ago. I had to use a friends car. She taught me and and we were both thrilled that the man passed me on my first attempt. I was soooo ridiculously proud of myself - smiles.

Now I can't wait until my Telsa Model 3 with the self driving software can also pass the driving test 🤣

Yes! "easier" with a car... 😂
Here in Sweden, the person who is to take a driving license (aged 16) and the private practice leader take a short theory course, and are then allowed to practice driving privately, without any driving school being involved. Now most people usually do both, to get the driver's license cheaper and more practice in traffic.

well, for us it's a bit more complicated - we need a theoretical and a practical test. and until we're 18 and at the earliest from 17, we're only allowed to drive with an adult registered with the authorities.

yes, but my grades are well above the NC of the last few years, so it shouldn't be a problem if I haven't written all my final exams 6. 😉
