See if I care. the only reason no Russian resounds through my English, is that some people put so much pressure on it. If other people here also have the opinion no Russian resounds through my English.

I'm from the Netherlands, still that accent in English while writing or speaking, I call it Russian.

Who is "the media"? These statistics where published by the major institutes like jons Hopkins and Robert Koch Institute. I have no reason to believe they are wrong. At least the RKI is not a private company or part of the media. I also believe the staff from the Charité who has this blog.

I know the current corona statistics, I mean statistics of the last flu waves, I only read that corona is more aggressive than a flu virus, but I don't see any figures to prove it

If we agree about the virus I can understand even less why you can be sure the current restrictions are to much im the sense that you are sure that there is a better way snd you know it not in the sense that there could be a better way.

Why do you focus on believing "the media" in this case?

I haven't heard any reliable source that has a better and less restrictive solution and can proof that it is really the case.

an example

according to the current rules i am not allowed to meet camryn and my best friend in public at the same time. but i am allowed to meet one of them

for example, if i meet camryn today and my best friend tomorrow, the risk of infection is the same

like i said, i just try to look at things in a differentiated way. there are rules that i think are good, but i think that anybody who is not completely stupid can look at them themselves. today i looked at the new figures for my city. we have 8 active cases of infection, with 80,000 inhabitants that is 0.01%. i don't mean that the virus is harmless, but i don't think that 99.99% have to do anything because 0.01% are sick.

In France,it seems to have worked not too badly.There is less people ill and the R0(number of people an infected people can infect)is under 1(which is good).There maybe are less restrictive ways that could have led to similar results,but not sure,and,at least,this one has worked,at least for now.

No;in the first case,Camryn and your best friend are close to each other,while,in the other case,they don't meet.There is a small change(if,as I hope,all of you are healthy,there would be no risk anyway;and,if one of you is ill,it would infect you,and you could infect the other ones,as you meet both),but it is still useful to fight the virus.

It's what I meant in the second part,but you written it better than me!🙂 It can happen,but being allowed to meet only one of them decrease a little bit the risk.Even if you meet the second one a bit after.

Good he is healthy again.There is a lot of cases in Spain too(and I wonder how @Ines and her family are...I hope they're ok.).I hope you didn't meet him during the incubation...

I'll be the messenger, so to speak

but the result remains the same. if one of the three of us is infected, the other two are most likely infected too, so it doesn't matter if I alternate between meeting 2 people or 2 people at the same time

If you are infected it's the same
If the first friend is infected you are infected but it is most probably to early to infect the second friend, so 2 of you or in the worst case all 3 of you are infected (it's more likely that your second friend is not infected if it is the same day)
If the second friend is infected, the first friend can't be affected im this scenario.

This difference can make the difference between a growing number of infected people and an increasing number of infected people.

nevertheless I consider the risk of infection to be too small, as I treat my fellow men differently than usual

i currently take into account people with pre-existing conditions and old people, but i do not see why i should not meet young and healthy people
