of course it doesn't protect against mistakes, that's why every decision should be limited in time, but as long as this period is running, the consequences should be clear and changes should only take place in emergencies.

well, the time interval can of course be variable, but i think time periods between 6 months and a year are ideal, the wearer then also knows when he/she has to make the decision next time, so he/she can think beforehand whether he/she wants to wear the belt for another period.
the question do you want to continue wearing the belt should then be able to be answered and if it was a mistake, he/she can consider undoing it until the next decision.
