well, i still doubt it, but if i could put a paper bag over my head, i might agree to it πŸ˜‚

as long as no photos and so on are allowed I'd be ok with it.

"Lady Laura Holmes and the Chastity mascerade ball mistery" lol ... why not? It's acrually a really good idea.

If it were held in a castle and we wore our best ballgowns and formal wear, I'd show up.

Vanessa And there is some good "Sherlock Holmes" here, like @Laura!πŸ˜‰

@Laura would probably also be able to identify us if we all wore burkas πŸ˜‚

kind of reminds me of the Ku Klux clan of the chastity scene 🀣

Angelina πŸ˜‚ or like the freelancers. Just that they don't hide their face. Nah... the lords often celebrated a mascerade ball in their castle. The Ku klux clan usu

meeting in the forest sounds good, then we can shoot a chastity horror movie πŸ˜‚

Ball in castle are often mentioned in fairy tales:"Peau d'Γ‚ne","Cendrillon"...Mascerade ones, less, but it would be similar,I think.

Not to shock, good old USA has not ratified many treaties/conventions related to Human Rights.

              [USA & Human Rights Treaties]https://www.aclu.org/issues/human-rights/treaty-ratification#:~:text=Despite%20its%20ostensible%20position%20as,the%20Convention%20on%20the%20Rights()

Furthermore, the USA has the ugly tendency to apply what basic rights protections its laws/constitution might provide only to its citizens/residents. That's significant different from the EU, where the basic rights and human rights apply basically to anyone.

(not that our authorities don't love to ignore these if they can get away with it, notice how Frontex and EU MS can play games about who was in command of illegal pushbacks at the EU border for years: If it was Frontex, well it can only be sued in EU courts, MS authorities OTOH, only in MS courts, in some extreme cases they are nearing a decade of excuses and not properly remembering who was in command of which detail of the operation.)

George notice how Frontex and EU MS can play games about who was in command of illegal pushbacks

What pushbacks? There were no pushbacks, or at least we don't know anything about them, just like we don't know what these armed and masked people in unmarked uniforms and unregistered trucks are doing at the EU's external border. We also have absolutely no knowledge of what happened to the immigrants who disappeared in border forrest - they must have gone somewhere... πŸ˜‰

Andrew Well, thanks for reminding me about that sad episode.

Although the reaction is a little bit more understandable: Belarus was using refugees as a political blackmail, literally importing them by air. Copying an old boring technique from the Eastern Germans, that flew in refugees and send them on to Westberlin, to cause headaches for Western German politicians.

George Although the reaction is a little bit more understandable

This is what happens when you want to be considered a worldwide leader in respecting human rights, and then you have to break your own treaty obligations in order to ensure the security of the state.

What does this all have to do with court-ordered chastity belts though? Are you saying we should lock a belt on every person of reproductive age entering the country without a visa until their asylum request is granted?

                        Andrew

I am not very smart but for me, the most important task of a state is guarantee the safety of the citizens, the most important thing.
Every order issue can be done better or worse for private sector, but not safety.

youdontknowme What does this all have to do with court-ordered chastity belts though?

                        Nothing. This is off-topic.

                        youdontknowme

i don't think anyone (or rather most people) want to do that, but that would certainly be an interesting topic for discussion here on the forum as well.
