pestulens I think the phrase you are looking for is "voluntary, but not volitional"
Volitional is kind of an obscure word, but I think it captures the idea you where going for.

sarafulton i have not over analyzed it to be honest. Just like it from a mixture of all those reasons tbh
it also sounds to me a bit like you like not having to bear the responsibility for it, but being able to pass it on (in your case to your parents).
