I am always a bit curious about the usage in conservative high society and in Middle East and North Africa States.
Can you, respecting of course privacy, bring some light about this?
Have you experience in those markets?

Ines I know that in the Middle East it does exist, but I do not know how common it is. Muslims do not allow tattooing or piercing so chastity belts are good alternatives. Many years ago, Tollyboy manufactured a lot of belts that were shipped to M.E. I have been confirmed by a man from the Middle East that it is now manufactured there.
An American woman has also told me, that she was forced to wear chastity belt when she got together with a man from M.E. In his family all women wore chastity belts!

I have not any answer about North Africa States.

Conservative high society in Europe? I have my opinion, as I wrote here, but obviously I do not have any evidence.
Summarizing, I think that in conservative circles there are certain amount of girls wearing belts, that it is not so weird as some people think.

Therefore, it is difficult to know who you are in contact with. But of course it exists and is much more common than most people think.

Ines Depending on the circle. Here in Europe the aristocrats are normal people just as you and me. Only a few high and well-known aristocrats still have their own family companies for generations where they show off their social status.
But never the less, many still are conservative indeed in their ideology concerning pregnancy before marriage and stuff like that. And about marriage itself. You have very severe marriage contracts, so - and you do anything to prevent a divorce because that's not a very good reputation for the family - but if this happens, the wife has no right to keep the last name of the husband and often has no rights of any payments from the husband. To prevent frauds. But concerning wearing a chastity device... good question... but I don't think it's that common here. Sure, you never know. Because this is a topic you never ever talk about in this circles

Yes, in Spain it is exactly the same " de capa y espada".
Yes of course, and even in Musketeers films, the girls dresses are so, so, so beautiful 😍. It is similar when you see the american films of Hitchcock and you see Grace Kelly with those dresses... I think that the word "woman" in dictionary should have her picture 😂. Pure feminity. 😂😂

The only people I know personally who lost their whole family at once were Mormons, though I hear that it also happens with the Amish and Mennonites.

MissBlossom As someone who was raised Mormon (and also has left the church, and know many others who have as well), I think that is thankfully pretty rare. Unlike the some religious sects, the "Mormons" (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, as they preferred to be called) do not advocate "shunning" those who leave. I have no doubt it happens (and sorry it happened to one your friends), but FWIW that probably reflects more on the quirks of their family more than religious beliefs.

I've studied with great interest the female Mormons I've me, all of my age. They are friendly, happy, well made up and nobody has said a single word to me about religion. They run in the same uniforms the rest of us do, bun huggers and bare shoulders and arms, clothes that would be verboten on their campus. Even had an informal group photo taken in sports bras. And this in circumstances where they were representing their university. Oh, half of them were also wearing wedding rings.
