The church in Europe bears a massive responsibility for how they treated those who held different views and chose to be independant of their many false doctrines. The inquisitions showed that clearly where simply owning a copy of the 23rd psalm was enough to send someone to the stake. There were other churches throughout the rest of the world and even Europe as well. The Syrian churches, the Greek orthodox, the Russian orthodox and also the many churches in the alps who were massacred during the crucades. The Catholic church was only the church of Rome, one of the churches but the arrogance of the church was breathtaking, claiming to be the universal church without the consent or agreement of the other churches.. It was all about power and who could wield it. Even today in large churches it isn't about being like Christ, it is about numbers and "The Brand" this is why corruption sneaks in and surprises the world. Power corrupts and it isn't for man to wield but God. The early church had none of these problems, God was their focus, relationship with God not religious observances. Their focus was on the welfare of their brother or sister and what would support or not cause them to sin, not on what would make the church greater. Realizing that the church is the hands and feet of Christ not the wrath of God or the hands of satan, which at times the churches have indeed been.
Angelina there is a part of the church that acts as prophetic and world saviour and thus tries to lure people.
The prophetic never left the church, it is found in all of the different churches at different times if you look hard enough. Visions and dreams and prophecy were to be part of the church until Christ returned and are still here. God has been showing people in the church what is to come it is just the less large churches where people are paying attention to this. The "prophetic" has been abused for sure and many people prophesy of their own hearts and try to mislead the church, but mostly the prophetic are simply saying that the time of christ's return is near, no less than some popes have prophesied. The prophetic is not confined to the clergy, in Joel, God said he would pour out his spirit on all flesh and they would prophesy.
The church should never act as savior it should point people to Christ as the savior, but men do like to get glory and that is where the corruption begins.
Max9 what if it's not a pressure therapy but just a personal sense of well-feeling?
You call it something different but we are talking about the same thing.
