This chastity belt was worn by the women of Florence, Italy as a method of preventing rape.
Unlike female chastity belts, the development of the male chastity belt/device is easier to follow. It's history is much more recent, and therefore much more recorded. New inventions have been protected by patients, and therefore such records help us trace the origins of various designs of the MCD.
Between the 1850s and the beginning of the Second World War male chastity devices were developed for the purpose of preventing masturbation which was believed to cause insanity. It is at this point where we can see a distinct difference between male and female chastity belts/devices. The Victorian view of the female chastity belt was to protect the wearer from rape, and where therefore considered as a method of security.
Tobbe We can help you and write it together. I mean here are a lot of people with experience in wearing one. So I would say for now we have four main chapters. Chapter one History, chapter two reasons for chastity belts, chapter three making/design of chastity belts and chapter four experience in wearing.

I agree. Most associates it with fetish, and if anyone Googles it, it shows up fetish related / porn sites... It makes me so hard to openly discuss / even talk about chastity belt to others, even my family members. If its non-fetish uses are also well known enough in the society, I think we'll be able to discuss about chastity belt more openly than now.

Max9 Maybe that's how the future looks after some hundreds of years when the trend of fucking everything that can't escape is over.
that sounds very harsh, but in general i agree with you, many people are too open about sexuality nowadays, but i don't think a belt is needed, good education should be enough.

@Tobbe it doesn't need to be a ehole book of hundress of pages. Just start explaining the origins, the new models, the non-sexual use in all its variations, maybe make some hidden advertisement for uwc, and when you're done you already have already written aboon with about 200 to 300 pages without realizing it. You just need to get into the flow.
