It depends on the age. When can a minor make decisions about her body? 16 could be such a limit. At that age, you can get a driver's license for a vehicle so fast that you can wrap yourself around a tree several times. In some states you can vote and at the moment it is about the car license and the right to vote for the Bundestag at 16. If you are allowed to do all that why not the decision to wear a cb voluntarily?

I would disagree with both of you and say there is no universally appropriate age. i think teenagers (no children) notice when they reach a certain age when they can make decisions about their sexuality and good parents notice that too. it can be 14, 16, 18 or even 21, so being of legal age doesn't mean having the wisdom, just like underage doesn't mean not having the wisdom

I do not think a psychologist would agree. If he/she were convinced the girl wanted to be chaste why would he/she agree she should be locked in a belt just because the parents wanted it? He/she would just say fine, go ahead and lead a chaste lifestyle. Why lock someone in a belt to do something she wants to do anyway? I do not think a qualified medical doctor would agree to do it just because the parents wanted it.
