I admit that I have a hard time accepting that kind of thing.
I speak from my own experience, as you know in my house we are now 4 women wearing a belt, and all of us, in principle, have the same regimen of use.
Then in daily life each one has her circumstances and the use of the belt and accessories is adapted to the circumstances of each one, it is logical that you have to be flexible, or else the use of the belt does not work.
But, basically, we all have to have the same rules.
I agree with your parents on some things, and I see certain issues as they do, but on this, and forgive me if I'm wrong, I think your father is giving in to your mother.
That is why I think that the rules have to be set by fathers and not mothers if they are to be fair, mothers, being an interested party, their rules are always going to be less objective and less fair.
