May I ask which belt, i.e. which model you get exactly? do you also get new thighbands?

Maybe if you have a waist style you get a hip style or opposite.

In general Neosteel belts seem more secure to me. This is due to the lock (and the steel is thicker).
Maybe it is just an "upgrade" just to be sure even if there have not been any security issues?!

It depends on the model I think but my steel is 1mm and neosteel can be up to 3mm if I am correct.
I have belts from both manufactures and where you can easily bend a my steel belt this is impossible
with just one hand for a neosteel belt.
The my steel hip or waist bent feels more like a very solid spring that returns into its original form when
you put not too much pressure on it.

difficult to say, i'd have to check at mysteel again. i think my father did it that way, but i'm not sure anymore.... you'll see (hopefully not)

At the moment it's all speculation, yet if you want to focus on some positive side aspect: Since you write that your current belt still fits well I see two distinct options:
1) You'll soon be among the users that can compare two different belts first-hand.
2) You'll get a spare belt of the same or just marginally different model, maybe just with slightly updated measurements. Probably the more boring variant than a more different belt; still has some practical value. For instance, it might make the process of thorough cleaning of one of the belts or even parts of the belt way easier since one can just take arbitrary time for it, while you wear the second belt, then.

Just my two cent cents.

Abby82 Yeah i don't think im getting a chastity bra since i have never had one till this day.

but many didn't have that at the beginning, with @Vanessa it was 8 years between belt and bra if I remember correctly.
but to put your mind at rest, i don't believe it either. they probably would have measured your breast otherwise. 😉

I agree. The measurements are different and why should they accept such a risk if they can just measure you. I think if it's a bad surprise, it's more likely that it has something to do with tightbands.

Abby82 although it’s good news that nothing bad happened, an expensive new belt (Carrera costs a lot even by chastity standards) means that you can look forward to being locked for several more years. They wouldn’t invest in such a thing unless they planned to keep you in it for a long time.

I looked at that brand too when I was looking for my wife's belt.
The opinion of my sister-in-law, who has a lot of experience, and my daughter, who already has a little, is that it is big, cumbersome and not very wearable on a day-to-day basis.

Abby82 Perhaps they don’t yet trust the belt to be secure and feel you must be supervised while you get used to it. No reason to give a belted woman the temptation to stray!
