Angelina No, US customs can open and inspect anything coming into the country at their discretion. If it’s nothing of interest to them they tape it up with the CBP tape and send it on its way.
An officer I encountered told me though that generally anything that is often counterfeited that comes from that area of the world gets at least some closer inspection (CD/DVD, designer clothes, etc). But that they see vague declarations as particularly suspicious because it’s a common technique smugglers use.
Either way, they aren’t really dicks about it and at least with stuff I’ve ordered never damaged anything, so not really an issue to me
