Rear configuration of the belt

LazyGoat I just thought that at least with My-Steel, the front shield and rear band are two different bands and the fron part could be bend to press a lot more against the "business end" and keep the rear part a little looser without any security risks.

Mine's cable but i think it's still the same in front - the secondary shield metal which continues to back bends very easily. If you did it like you said I think you'd be able to pull the shield away a bit - like if you pushed the band tight in your butt you get more room in front.
The cable takes getting used to - its really in there😳 - but pulls the front shield in good

Yeah, now that I think of it more, looser rear band enables the belt to be looser in other positions too.

Solution:
Make it as tight as possible while having it not too uncomfortable. Having you ass spread all the time can't be too comfortable. 😅

Thats why my belts are cable style. Yes, the cable is pulled right over the anus, but it is far more comfortable that being spread open all the time. Although, someone might like that too 🤣 . It does give butt some added roundness though!

I have cable too and it's turned out to be best for me. I tend to wear baggy pants tho so any add roundness goes unnoticed, I'm afraid.

the problem is that the belt has to be tight, of course there is some room in the front and back, but it is extremely small for me. i don't know if it is different with the cable, but every time i try to loosen the belt a bit in the front i pull it into my own butt, but only minimally because it is really tight

Yeah, that's true. Cable style definitely is more confortable as a normal continuous back style.... it only has one disadvantage: The part ehere it's connected with the belt, that's a bit annoying. And when you sit on your butt ver, long or on the pure woodden bank then you're butt might hurt a little.

Angelina well, that's a little bit annyoing, but it's totally ok. What ankiys me most is the band size. I habe pretty wide hipds when I'm standing, but when I lay down the, become smaller. That's why the hips band is totally fine when I stand, but a bit too wide when I lay down.... when I make it closer so that it fits when I lay down it's way too tight when I stand. That's why I gotta deal with it being a bit wide at night ... especially when I lay on the side. ... then there's an about 2mm gap to my body.

i'm trying to understand what you mean, but it's difficult without seeing it. if i understand correctly, your hips get smaller when you sit? interesting, i always thought they tended to get wider.

I wouldn't agree that, but I think it's hard to judge if we haven't tested all the alternatives.

Angelina Well, I did test nearly all of them at MySteel. Best is the single cable style and double cable style (just maybe a bit more difficult when sitting on a hard bench) ... hmm... just noticed I can't remember having tried he chains, but they are just like very thick doulble strings what doesn't make them as good as slim double active ... and there's the orginal rear band, which challanges the chains for the last place on the ranking list - except for ergonomic styled original rear parts, but they are not common.

yes, that's what i thought. that's exactly what i do, which is why i often try to talk about my belt in as neutral a way as possible. 😉

Personally,I don't hide that I hate it.

Especially,as,generally,new users know they have to wear it reluctantly/willingly or have decided to wear one because they want it,so they already have their own feeling about it.Even if it can change,sometimes(like it is for @Jen,@Amira,@Maija,etc...).
