I thought it might be worthwhile to create a dedicated discussion to experiences with hosiery (tights, pantyhose, stockings, thigh-highs, nylons, etc) since there it has come up in separate threads.

A few possible questions and areas of discussion:

  • Do you wear hosiery with your CB? If so does it come up to mid-thigh (hold-ups, thigh-highs, etc) or to your waist (pantyhose, tights, etc)? If so, how often and on what occasions?
  • If you wear tights, are they sheer tights (aka pantyhose) made from thinner (often nylon) material? Or do you wear opaque tights made from thicker (often cotton) material?
  • If you wear sheer tights have you had issues with your CB causing them to tear (aka "ladder" or "run")?
  • Does a control-top (thicker part from mid-thigh to the waist) work better (since it is reinforced over the part covering the belt)?
  • Do you see any advantage of wearing tights with your belt (perhaps making it more comfortable or hiding it better)?
  • Do you ever wear thigh-bands with your tights? If so I assume they must be worn beneath the bands (to prevent issues with the connecting chains)?
  • Does anyone have any suggestions of brands or types of hosiery that work better with belts and are less likely to tear?

I have normal classic pantyhose made of cotton and so far they have not been damaged by the belt. with thighbands it is not possible to wear them.

Angelina Thanks for the response. It makes sense that cotton tights would be stronger and more resistant to tears (in the US , "pantyhose" typically refers to the thinner ones made from nylon). I assume the issue with thighbands is that it would be difficult to pull your tights down far enough when using the toilet?

It really depends on how much money you spend. 2 dollar nylons from the drugstore are junk. 20 dollar nylons are pretty decent and won’t run that easy.

I believe there is a new brand (at least in the US) called "Sheertex" that are fairly sheer and supposedly very tear resistant.

Difference can be that cheap one can be worn 2 times, and more expensive can be worn 4 or 5.
Design is a far more important factor if you want if you want to spend more money on a pair of pantyhose than the quality one.
Unless I really like a design, I usually buy the cheap ones, the difference in quality doesn't make up for it.

Ines I almost never get runs in the more expensive ones. I’ve worn some tons of times. You do need to make sure you bunch it up as it goes over your foot instead of just pushing foot down.

You are the only girl in achieve that: congrats.

                Hello,
I rarely wear a skirt or dress. Then usually a pantyhose made of nylon.
I have no experience with the chastity belt and pantyhose.

What? I was saying how I avoid getting runs. Many girls just pull them on like pants and toe nails cause runs

it would work for me, it depends on how high the bands are attached, but honestly, why go to all that effort? it's the same for me as with high heels, it's just impractical.

                @Ines @CharInChastity
i'm surprised, i've worn some pantyhose for years and probably about 50 times, why do yours (whether expensive or cheap) break so quickly?

                • Ines replied to this.

                  Angelina 50 times

Nylon ones? It is very difficult achieve that number. Toe nails, a dog, the belt, someone's umbrella, a bus' sit...
If you are lucky a pair can be weared 6 or 8 times... no more.

                    Ines

no, like i said, i wear cotton, maybe it's because cotton is simply more stable 😂

That would not really be "pantyhose", but "tights". Both are Strumpfhose in German, but pantyhose refers specifically to the sheer ones that are made of nylon, silk or similar stuff.

ok, then i made a mistake, i didn't know that there are two different words for this in english 😂

                      verena

Do you wear pantyhose with your belt? Only thick ("60-80 den") tights or thinner pantyhose as well? Do you have any issues with the belt causing them to tear?

                      13 days later

verena Women from countries with Slavic language seem to wear them even more often in the past

That might have something with the fact that during the cold-war the eastern propaganda presented nylon tights as something that was at least perfected, if not invented, by communist scientists.

6373e6b2 I had never heard that. Do you have a good online reference? Can't seem to immediately find anything (at least in my English language searches)

Bryan well, wearing tights isn't possible for me, and even if it was, not allowed. I wear a garter belt for this reason which works fine.
