If the whole story was true, her belt would be the least problem.

Renita I was there with AJ. It wasn't just Monica there talking, Jane was there too. It is obvious Jane does not want to wear a belt, she is very clear about that. But her mother told her point blank this was the final straw. Luckily for her she doesn't have to wear it to school (which sucks) because she is suspended, but she will be when she goes to summer school. I have talked to her a few times and she is wearing it when she leaves the house, which is much less frequent.

Renita No I am not 😆 I hate wearing it to school, and Kate absolutely does for sure. With Jane, her mom for sure will make her do it for summer school and anytime she leaves the house.

Laura Not sure what you mean. She was suspended from school for the rest of the year and will be able to return for summer school in order to be able to graduate. her mother is going to make sure she wears the belt before leaving the house. She is not being "monitored" by anyone

Susan It is absurd. In my country was never punished a student. Teachers can have problems from it. But in this case they were both adults - so where is a problem?

Kaja She was having sex with a teacher on school property. I can't imagine anywhere where that would be OK. He was fired, she was suspended. Yes they were both adults, so no arrests were made.

Kaja for teacher there is always the suspect that he exploited a position of authority.
Anyway, remember that USA is very puritan country, even if in Southern California I never see this, on the contrary it’s a very open minded place, especially among younger, or in college and university. Anyway I don’t believe this story, so I read it as a fiction where some suspension of belief is acceptable.

If her mother will not be mad they can have sex in her house - and nothing bad will happen. So it is the mothers mistake.

My opinion will be different if she will be 16 yo teen. But this is not this case.

I see no reason why both Monica and Jane would lie about this. Jane clearly does not want to wear a belt, so what would be the point of lying about it?

Teachers have sex with students it seems like all the time here in the US. Some are prosecuted especially if the student was a minor, but that is not the case here. You can look them all up on Google if you want.

Minors mostly, with consequences for teachers, not students. Mostly due to parents discovering this. Anyway Susan, I don't believe this story, and pretty sure I'm in good company here.

I tried and I found nothing about any student being suspended for having a relationship or sex with his/her teacher.
Can you help me finding it?
