I am afraid it would not work.
The amount of raw materials used is minimal, even if 10 cb makers would combine their procurement. I mean, even if you buy 100 instead of 10 locks, how much cheaper do you get those?
Compare that to even a basic DIY shop like Obi. They buy in bulk by the thousands.
And the rest is laser cutting of metal. But because every belt has different dimensions for the individual wearer, you cannot get any scaling effects to save money. If I do 20 individual laser cuts for 1 company or those are done for 2 companies, my efforts as business doing the cuttings is the same.
In short: I do not see any possible savings by combining bussinessses in that market.
