From what I've heard, ever since covid and the ukraine shenanigans started, the financial situation in europe was probably hit the hardest. Perth really only started feeling major inflation at the end of 2023, before then it was just a marginal increase in fuel prices (fuel in perth is already expensive as it is, ranging between 160c/L on good days to 220c/L on bad days currently, but even in 2021 it was like 140c/L to 190c/L. In comparison indonesia seems to have been left unaffected as back in like 2010 their fuel prices were like 8000 rupiah/L and now its 10k/L)
