Laura You have always been reticent to talk in detail about your situation, which is totally fair, but reading through what you have written it is easy to see why people would conclude you are deeply unhappy about it. Add to that, from our perspective, your situation has seemed relatively static over the past 5 years while others who were unhappy with their situation have seen it change and I can see where they are coming from.
That isn't to say that is the case, I assume there is a lot going on in your life we don't know about and that is your prerogative.
At the end of the day, people mean well but may be jumping to conclusions. Try not to judge them too harshly (or do, you are the site admin after all).
