yes it is a much easier punishment, so I often use this chance 😉

most of the time i have to write a long essay about my misbehaviour, it has to be finished by the end of the week, as long as i can do that i am allowed to do everything, but i am not allowed to have any personal contact with camryn or my friends during this time (only phone, writing etc.)

It is worth telling the truth,if it is so reduced,sure.

Even if writing an essay,and no meeting with friends or girlfriend is not pleasant,it is not too hard.In my case,if the grounding is severe,I've not much leisures left.But the first thing taken off during grouding is meeting my friends and Emilie,and then,cell phone/net taken away.

Vanessa I have similar rules if grounded. I am normally limited to my room or have to do chores in the house. I am normally not allowed to use the internet, tv, music or my phone. I am only allowed to stay in contact with others by phone once a day, supervised by my father. In my family grounding should be boring and if I am to bored, I can ask for tasks in the household.

Same for me.Being boring is part of the punishment.I could do more household tasks too,or studying(even if not a student anymore,if grounded,I can still ask for reviewing my lessons).

Does your boyfriend have special privileges and can meet you if you're grounded?

But when the essay is done,you can have a not so bad grounding.

my father always says that i must comply with the punishment, but i may continue to use everything else, of course i am restricted to my room and may only leave it if my father allows

but mostly the essays are very long and i have little time for tv/online etc. 🙁

the essay should be the main part of the punishment once i have finished writing it and my father has accepted it i may do what i want but i must stay in my room until the end of the punishment

Do you often manage to finish it several days before the end of your grounding?

Prevented to meet friends and girlfirend,and staying in your room,is not pleasant,sure,but it seems you can have a lot of leisure to manage your grounding pretty well.

i am allowed to take a break, my father tells me what and how much i have to write and then i have to organize the time myself

What happen if you haven't finished the essay before the end of the grounding?

then I am still grounded until the essay is finished. As I said before, the essay is the main part of the punishment, not the house arrest

It is understandable.He mainly want you to think about the rule you've broken during the punishment.The grounding is more a side effect,right?

It is easier to understand why you're not restricted too much about leisure,so.

In my case,the grounding is part of the punishment,not a side effect.And very boring...

my father is of the opinion that boring house arrest does not lead to any change and i should use the time to think about my behaviour and write it down in an essay and then tell my father

I agree too,it can be more useful to ground you less strictly,but making you do a task that requires you to think about what you did...

Can he decide your essay is not good enough,and then you have to do it another time?Like if you miss the main point,or something similar...

Vanessa My father thinks (and I think he is right), that both goals can go hand in hand. A grounding can be designed in a way that you have to work most of the time in the household or on an essay and that you are the pleasurable things you can do during this time are limited to almost nothing.

If I write an essay and didn't write about the main aspects I get another lesson where we talk again about anything, then it's very likely that I get another spanking and corner time, because the first time I didn't got the point, so I couldn't think about it. Then I have to rewrite the essay. Luckily this only happened years ago. Nowadays I make sure I really get his point during the first lesson, that's why I think his system is hard but effective.

my father gives me clear information in advance how the essay has to look like (length and content) , if he can justify that a criterion is not fulfilled, I have to rework or rewrite the essay , as long as I am grounded 🙁 , the time of grounding is only a minimum length 🙁

It is similar for me.Grounding means often waiting without anything to do,including writing punishments,but with household tasks,but,the few times I had to copy lines,if it was poorly written or with several mistakes,I got a second spanking and cornertime and have to write all the lines again.To make it clear,my father ripped the sheets I wrote the lines on in front of me...

I took care to do it well,too.It was a long time since I had to copy lines,but I know it can still happens,even if unlikely.

For lines we have another system.

If I have to write lines they have to be written very clear. If I think a line I wrote is not good enough I can cancel it with a ruler and rewrite the line 5 times. If I have 3 errors on a page I have to finish the page but have to rewrite the full page. If I am done with the lines I give them to my father. If he thinks a line is not good enough I have to rewrite the line 10 times, if after his analysis a page has 3 or more errors, I have to rewrite the page 3 times. Depending on how much he founds, I also get a spanking and corner time.

Luckily he only uses lines for repeating offences. But if he use then the number was never lower than 250.

i have to write an essay of 20 to 50 pages, depending on what kind of mistake i have made, but not always the same line but a coherent text about my misbehaviour, what i have done wrong and how i will do it better in the future. if my father doesn't like something i have to change the sentences and then read the corrected text out loud. i have to read each essay out loud, that is very important to my father.

i find your rules very strict 🙁 with me there are no additional penalties. i only write until my father is satisfied

Good you can correct it before he looks at it,but you have several additional lines to copy again if you made a mistake,instead of being allowed to correct it if you noticed it!

Not easy too!Can you tell us what offense was punished with so many lines?

Angelina I think you write those lines on your computer, don't you?

It would not be useful.It could be made easily by copy/paste...

I guess it is more likely to make mistakes when copying an essay instead of always the same line,right?
