i have to write an essay of 20 to 50 pages, depending on what kind of mistake i have made, but not always the same line but a coherent text about my misbehaviour, what i have done wrong and how i will do it better in the future. if my father doesn't like something i have to change the sentences and then read the corrected text out loud. i have to read each essay out loud, that is very important to my father.

i find your rules very strict 🙁 with me there are no additional penalties. i only write until my father is satisfied

For me it's something an essay, sometimes lines. I never had an essay of more than 5 pages. What do you write on 50 pages? What is a typical topic for 50 pages. That's close to a bachelor thesis. Can you give an example what you had to write?

If my father wants to give me a very time consuming task, it's normally lines and lines and lines. The worst was 2.000 and I ended with ca. 2.700.

Good you can correct it before he looks at it,but you have several additional lines to copy again if you made a mistake,instead of being allowed to correct it if you noticed it!

It would not be useful.It could be made easily by copy/paste...

then i understand, we had a little misunderstanding, i write the pages by hand on a piece of paper, that's 30 lines per page 😉

then you would write 65 to 90 pages in the worst case 😉

depending on how serious my misconduct was, I must first write down one to three times the contract I violated.

then i have to write which points of the contract i violated, what i did in detail and why i broke these points

if my misconduct could have ended dangerously for me i must also write something about the drivers

then i have to describe why these rules are important for a harmonious living together in society and in the family

after that i have to describe how i should behave the next time, and how i can achieve a good behaviour. in addition i have to give a certain number of examples (always different)

my father sometimes gives me one or two special topics and i have to write something about them.

my father gives only the approximate number of pages, but he allows a difference of +/- 3 pages

a bachelor thesis definitely takes longer 😃

Exactly. But this is really only for big offences.

Angelina Yes but sometimes it's a combination. At first the essay then a number of copies of the essay. But this is very rare.

but effective, sometimes my essay is a little too short, then I have to copy it again so that I get the full length and memorize the content again

It was for continuous back talking in combination with bad language. 2 years ago I was in a very rebellious phase. I tried out my borders and became very disobedient and disrespectful, at least for this family. I started to push my borders, especially I disagree on unplanned tasks I have to do immediately. So I should have known better but I didn't.

It coats me the full autumn holidays to write it.

Yes, but my writing has to be perfect when I write lines, when I copy essays or other text the rules of perfection are not that strict and it's ok to mark the sentence with the ruler and rewrite it again unless it's less then 3 times per page. Then I have to rewrite the page.

about 2 years ago i came home at 3am at night during the week and almost overslept the next day (my father had to wake me up to get me to school on time) that was very annoying and the essay was 48 pages long at the end

In our family the second punishment for the same reason in a short time is harder then the first, the third is harder then the second and so on. He definitely wanted to and this phase and I have to say that it worked.

I think it's not realistic to have the same quality with copying a long text. I think copying lines is close to calligraphy.

i currently have a curfew of 10pm in the week, 2 years ago it was 9pm, so i broke that curfew very far

Same for me.If it is a repeated offense,the punishment is harder(and it's pretty logical).Generally,I've to stay one month without doing an offense again to not consider it as a repeated offense.

Yes,6 hours late is very late!And even more as it meant you came back in the middle of the night...

If I was that late,I would have got a very severe spanking and cornertime,a long grounding and an earlier curfew for,probably,several months(and it could still happen when I've a curfew).
