Of course, every person on this forum in a belt against their will could be out of it in a couple hours because there's no metal that can stop a Dremmel. The reason people in belts against their will don't just get out is because they are mentally held hostage in abusive relationships by their controlling parent/parent. Placing someone into any BDSM device (which a belt most certainly is) against their will is just abuse and you all know it, especially in addition to the many torturous ways described on this forum that can make the lock-up even more miserable for no good reason.
Now if they are locked by their parents consensually then more power to them, because they aren't in an abusive relationship - just a creepy one. Any parent excessively obsessive over what their daughter does with her vagina is creepy (this is opinion obviously, not legal fact) and should get their head checked. I'd have thought that normally religion would be to blame for brain-washing them but apparently it's not always possible to blame religion on this crazy behaviour.
This forum is actually really sad, because as nice as you all seem to be (honestly, you have a nice atmosphere here, good job) those of you that are belted against your will are victims of abuse, apparently mostly child abuse. The things some of you are describing so light-heartedly on this forum would get your parents put away for years (put away = sentenced to a prison sentence btw).
Now I don't know if the bahoviour some of you exhibit fulfills the criteria for Stockholm syndrome, but it's certainly very depressing how some of you are working overtime to cover up or hide this abuse from authorities. Victims of abuse must never be blamed in these situations but it makes me very sad to see the lengths you would go to to preserve the relationship with your parents despite them acting the way they do.
