I think the answer is NOT. Even if it could be a trend, this 50% could be achieved, but just temporally.
And even in others things, a trend is not followed for a 50% of us.

                  If many women decide to/have to wear a belt until marriage,women who refuse it would be more sexually available,and belted women would think at them as sluts(and many men too,or think they're "easy girls".).
